Hi, I just started to trade futures, so I am unsure which service i need. I want live feeds for US500, i believe it is CME? But I am unsure which one i need it for. I use interactive brokers to trade futures. I am a non professional and i dont have my brokers account linked to sierra chart. (Don't know how). Please advise. |

As a fellow user, there are several options -- I find with my broker (AMP Futures) that I have setup with order routing via CQG (as they don't yet offer Teton) but I don't pay the broker for data. Instead, I have Sierra's Denali data feed (for me, just the "top of book" for CME as I don't need any depth of market data in my strategies). For US500 -- the Dow -- you'll have YM as your futures symbol (or its equivalent, see https://www.cmegroup.com/education/lessons/e-mini-dow-product-overview.html) -- that's traded on CBOT (https://www.cmegroup.com/company/cbot.html). You can get the CME "top of book bundle" for a few dollars for non-professional users and no market depth data: Denali Exchange Data Feed -- which gives you added products like the S&P 500 futures, CL oil, GC gold, RTY Russell 2000 etc, or just CBOT itself for the YM contract for (presently) $1.25/month. Depending on your broker (I only know from mine), they just do the order routing (if you can't use the Teton service provided by SC), and then I pay SC for my package and Denali combined. |

Interactive Brokers does their own order routing, so there is not another service involved there. But we do offer connectivity to Interactive Brokers. Refer to the Setup Instructions for IB at the following link: Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions And then, if you are going to use our Denali Exchange Data Feed, then you will want to follow the setup instructions at the following link: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

The reason you are not getting real-time data, and historical data in the case of when using an external Trading service (Rithmic, CQG, Interactive Brokers), from the CME Group of exchanges is that you activated the *Non-Professional* exchange fees. However, you have not verified in the last month that you have a live, funded, futures trading account, which the CME needs in order to allow you data at the lower priced fees. Refer to the "Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges" section here: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges Rithmic paper trading or trading evaluator accounts are not considered a live funded futures trading account. Refer to the following for instructions on how to connect once a month to your *live funded* trading account to qualify for the lower-priced exchange fees: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees If you do not have a funded trading account or one with a supported Trading service, then refer to this solution: Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement Consider the above solution to avoid this problem in the future.
