I guess it's a solution but it's not going to color the background like it does with the range highlight study. Highlighting the background visually stands out. One other thing I thought of is to use VBP study, make the profile invisible and have it outline the entire box. No background but at least the box is visible. The drawdown is that it puts the outline in line with the bars so it's hard to see the edges (attached) |

yes, VbP is a solution as well. In case of OHLC, you can disable all levels, except the H/L and set their drawing style to Fill Transparent Bottom/Top, so it will color the background of the highlighted area. |

You can use the Color Background Based On Alert Condition and set your Alert to be based on the Dates/Times you want to highlight.
