Switching from AMP directly to Sierra with all services question

Due to limited functionality of AMP SC package i need to switch to direct account with sierra to use full SC functionality. Also I want to switch do Denali datafeed including order routing that i have now from CQG. So this way all things will be charged directly by sierra and I wont pay a buck to AMP. So I just wanted to confirm if they still have any reason to keep me as their client by providing me a trading account with them or I can expect this account can be terminated?

I guess the only profit for them would be passive income from my deposit money acting as a working capital for their own investments/passive income but nevertheless i wanted to confirm with you if switching with all services directly to sierra wont endanger my trading account with AMP?

Hi there, I think you have the mistaken view that Sierra Chart (SC) can act as a Broker, we can't. You need to have your funds with a Regulated Futures Broker, like AMP, in order to trade.

SC is (1) your charting & trading technology provider, the Sierra Chart Software; SC can (2) also provide you with Real-time data from various exchanges (just like CQG or Rithmic would), SC also (3) collects your exchange fees (for data only) and forwards those to the exchanges you request access to, and lastly SC (4) can route your orders to the the exchange you wish to trade on for $0.10 per contract per side (again this service would be like CQG or Rithmic). We can do that, but we can't be your broker, we can't hold your funds, we are solely a technology partner.

*Also note that the Service Package 5 (Advance Package) used by Sierra Chart clients that are at AMP has 100% of the Trading & Charting functionality that is on offer to Direct Sierra Chart clients.

#1 Not fully true. Many trading services in Data/Trade Services is marked as "Not enabled on package" im my AMP pcg5, esspecialy all cryptocurrencies data/exchanges including Bitmex you have trading integration with. That is available only in direct account. Also I couldnt see bid/ask volume data for stocks in Delayed SC Feed, which you confirmed in other post that I would have the access only with direct SC account, which I checked with direct trial acc and I do see bidask volume now. Or you can enable all that in my AMP package?

#2 My question was not about SC role in providing me the services which I understood correctly, but it was simply the question why AMP would be interested in keeping me as their client, if I stopped paying them a single buck, cause all would be paid directly to Sierra (platform fee, datafeed fee, exchange fee, order routing fee)? What business they have still providing me the trading account. Maybe stupid or naive question but Id be grateful to know the answer. Thanks.

your answer was pretty categoric...

Tick by tick data with Bid volume and Ask volume is available and actually you should not have gotten any historical Intraday data due to your account type. You must have a direct account to access that historical data and to get the Bid volume and Ask volume:

Direct Sierra Chart Account

When you are using Sierra Chart that has been provided through an affiliate, you do not have a direct paid account with us, and you wish to access functionality that is not provided in your limited version, you must have an account with Sierra Chart directly and have a standard installation of Sierra Chart.

No bid/ask volume data on Sierra Chart Historical Data Service



#2 I guess my question was stupid after all cause I totally forgot about commissions. Also seems theyre ready to do fine even without comissions at all:

Sorry to barge in,,,but I have AMP service package 5 and regarding Stocks delay data,,,where can I enable this?
When I try any stock symbols for intraday chart (doesn't need to be realtime),,,it keeps saying "symbol in unknown and exact match not found)

I actually don't need bid/ask data. Just volume for volume profile & TPO chart.

Also how much of delay are we talking about?

Good point, I have hidden the posts now, if you think this will be an issue please contact AMP to give you a new account number, they can do that for you no problem.

Unfortunately AMP said they cannot change/give me another acc number. I was said to disable my trading account. So not cool.
