Hi,

I learned from this thread...
DTC Protocol | Post: 130291

... that I can reverse a position by setting OpenOrClose to TRADE_UNSET while placing an order (unless I'm using BitMEX or TD Ameritrade... I have neither).

I have a related question: Can I place an open OpenOrClose==TRADE_UNSET market, limit, or stop order and expect it to be able to:
* increase long
* decrease long
* reverse
* increase short
* and decrease short...

... my position and for Sierra Chart to not care?

For example: I place a stop or limit order when my position is short, and then my position is long by the time it is executed/triggered. What would have at the time of order submission been a close is now an open, and vice versa.

FYI, this would be particularly useful if I'm running multiple trading algorithms on the same asset.

From here:
http://dtcprotocol.org/index.php?page=doc/DTCMessageDocumentation.php#OpenCloseTradeEnum

[OpenCloseTradeEnum] Open Close Trade Enumeration
...
This field is not used for futures.
I am interested in knowing which of Sierra Chart's brokers actually require/use this field.

Best thing to do is not to set:

OpenOrClose

This is simply just not used. It is only used in the case of the DTC client in Sierra Chart and it is up to the server to use it.
