There is still a problem with Sierra chart calculating open positions based on the internal server and not being able to update/refresh properly from the LMAX server.

I am stuck with an ghost open position on Sierra Chart that isn't live from the LMAX side, and no way of getting rid of it other than-

1. Taking an opposite live position of the trade to close the ghost order on Sierra Chart
(1a. Pressing flatten, which then causes the ghost order to close by putting on a live order in the opposite position on LMAX)
^^ The above 2 options satisfies Sierra charts ghost open position problem.
2. However now you have live exposure on LMAX, so you need to close the trade manually on the LMAX platform so it doesn't show on Sierra charts.
The whole process means you need to take live market exposure just to settle the ghost order costing at best commissions and a worst a losing trade.

The solve the problem it would be great to have the ability to FORCE close ANY orders or positions from the sierra chart side
OR
Have a reliable way for Sierra Chart to SYNC their trade orders and positions data with the LMAX server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

We have discussed this with LMAX and they are working to add Position reports for us to accurately get your position. There is not a time frame when this will become available.

The best thing to do for now is to go to Trade >> Trade Activity Log. At the top left select "Fills". Select the Symbol you want to show as flat and select the account number from the drop-down list ( this will be your LMAX username).

Go to the very last fill in the list at the bottom and select it. Select Edit >> Insert Trade Activity Entry. What you need to do is modify the fill data to represent an order fill which will offset your current position and show it as 0. Press OK when done. And what you will then find immediately after is your position will be displayed as 0 in the chart or Trade DOM.

We also see you are running an older version of Sierra Chart. Please update by selecting Help >> Download Current Version. Sierra Chart will download more historical order fill data from LMAX upon connection. It is 45 days.

Thank you very much for that work-around of inserting a trade activity entry on the trade activity log. That was just what I was looking for to get myself out of trouble over the short term.

Much appreciated
