Hello, before the change to the newer version and with the new FIX connection to CTS I´m used to have a long term continuous futures contract to build a long term volume profile based on tick data. Now it seems that Sierra Chart does not create continuous futures contracts. I was updating my chart to the new version and since then I´m getting only the days back to June. I used the Continuous Futures Contract Setting - Method 1: - using intraday charts (Main Settings) - and checking the box "continuous futures contract" (Advanced Setings) Thank you! Thomas |

This is still fully supported with CTS. Thank you for your response! Your chart and mine is only going back to 5-17. It seems that is not possible to create a longer countinuous futures contract! Please see the image I attached, there you see that I want a long term future contract chart back 365 days. But the chart always start at 5-17. So I was assuming that Method 1 http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html does not work anymore. With the older versions I didn´t have any problem with that! Best Regards, Thomas |

The chart we posted does not go very far back in time because we only loaded 90 days of data. You must be missing a step. Please once again follow through all of the steps we provide here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#ContinuousFuturesContract Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I´m still having problems to create a continuous futures contract, but only with my Desktop PC. It´s very strange but with my Notebook all works fine. I attached two images where you can see the difference. I unistalled Sierra and installed it on both PC´s, only on the Notebook it works and not the Desktop PC. Is it possible that the new version has a hardware conflict? |

I just wanted to add that with an older version I don´t have any problem, only with the new one. It seems that Sierra Chart does not show me the correct chart. When I create a continuous futures contract all the data is downloaded from CTS (it requires the same time to load as with my notebook) but Sierra does not go back in time.

It is definitely not a hardware conflict. Did you follow step numbers 1 and 11 here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#ContinuousFuturesContract Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I just noticed that with my notebook it does not work now. So I think it does not depend on the PC. Are you able to create a 2 year continuous futures contract (intraday chart with 240 min bars for example) with method 1 ( https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#ContinuousFuturesContract ) using 1 tick as intraday data storage time unit and CTS as data feed? My historical data feed provider is CTS (max. historical intraday days to download are 2000 in my case). Thank you! |

This specification you have given is getting pretty extreme with CTS in our opinion. It will take a long time to get that data and we wonder what problems might be encountered. We did not try that. We did do 6 months using 1 minute data: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1376642100434.png Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
