Candle Price Volume Bars [link] - [Top] The Candle Price Volume Bars Graph Draw Type draws candlesticks that have a variable width based upon the volume of the candlestick relative to the candlestick with the maximum volume. A narrow width indicates that the candlestick bar has a lower volume compared to the visible candlestick bar with the maximum volume. A wide width indicates the candlestick bar has a larger volume compared to the visible candlestick bar with the minimum volume. The width of a candlestick bar is based upon the comparison of the volume of that particular bar to the visible candlestick bar with the maximum volume. I dont quite understand what this underlined means. The width is comparing the volume for that bar to what? I dont understand what visible candlestick bar with the maximum volume means? Thanks Tom |

ah, does it mean its comparing the volume for that bar to the bar with the most volume on your chart thats visible???so its all relative to your current bars showing...few bars and it can trick one into thinking its big volume, when it actually might not be.

I think your understanding is correct. You can see this in action by zooming in and out on a chart that has periods of low-volume. |

The Candle Volume Price Bar will only really show a wide body if its volume is bigger than the previous biggest one on my chart. Other high ones with high, but slightly less volume dont get much credit. Could I get a wide candlestick bar for all higher volume trades over a threshold amount?
