How can I make a buy stop trigger if bid >= buy stop price? I want the order to trigger if a trade takes place at buy stop or above, of course, but sometimes the bid/ask keeps moving up with out a trade, and when a trade happens, it causes 3-4 tick slippage. I would rather take a 1 tick slippage when bid = buy stop price, but no trade has happened yet

If you referring to live trading, we cannot help with this. Please contact the exchange or your trading service for further help.

Yes, live trading, of course. globex through TT. I very much doubt CME would be entertaining questions from me, though :)

The CME has vastly greater amounts of more money and resources than we do. And are more capable of answering these kinds of requests. They should respond to you. If not, then something is wrong. It always surprises us, why some questions which clearly are the responsibility of the Exchange to handle, get posted here because people think that the CME is not going to help them. When in reality, they are much more able to help you then we can.

This is exactly what I am looking for, and Interactive Brokers makes it available. Unfortunately, they are not my broker, VF/TT is. What I am looking for is Trigger Method = "Bid/Ask" (or better still: "Last or Bid/Ask"). This is definitely not native to globex, and must be implemented by the broker (VF/TT) OR the order entry platform provider (Sierra) http://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/tws/usersguidebook/configuretws/modify_the_stop_trigger_method.htm Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-07-12 03:02:27

If you are using Interactive Brokers, then Sierra Chart does support the different Stop triggering methods. It is unlikely we would a client-side stop order unless the trading service does not support stops at all. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
