Is there a way to have the drawing alert shut off after a predetermined amount of times it goes on?. As I can see it continues to "ring" until it is manually shut off. So if price stays around and touches the alert line multiple times the alert will continue to make noise until shut down.

--> Can an additional box be added in a future release in the current Chart Drawing alert menu to type the number of times the alarm should "ring" ?

This is specially useful if you have email alerts and don't want to get hundreds of emails if the line get touched multiple times in a small timeframe.

Thank you.

In the Chart Drawing Alert settings enable Alert Once Per Bar.

Thank you.

The problem, with the Alert Once Per Bar option, is that if the Alert is added to a tool or study on a 1 minute chart (or any low timeframe chart) there will still be a lot of alerts trigered and a lot of emails sent every time a new 1 min bar touches the level.

This is why an option to dissable the alert after a predetermine number of triggers could be useful...

--> Can an additional box be added, in a future release, in the current Chart Drawing alert or Study Alert menu to type the number of times the alert should "ring" before it is disabled?

Thank you.

And what would cause the counter to be reset. It is just not clear how this would even be implemented. Otherwise, it's not going to work as expected.

What I mean it is to add a box where we would be able to input the maximum number of times that that alert will trigger before it is disabled and stops sending alerts. --> (Please see attached image)

This is useful when using alerts in lower timeframe charts and specially if those alerts are linked to an email (getting 50 or more emails due to an alert is not fun)

So for example, we set an alert to a horizontal line or to a study on a 1 min chart. We also tell the alert to trigger a maximum of 3 times. (As in the attached image)

Once price, on the 1 min chart, reaches the level it will trigger the alert for the first time, after, a new 1 min bar triggers the level for the second time, finally after a new 1 min bar reaches the level it will trigger the 3rd and final alert before the alert is disabled and won't alert anymore as the counter has reached the maximum number of iterations set of 3.

Do you see how this could be useful?
Would this be something that could be implemented in a future release?

Thank you for your help

We will have to see about this and see how the count can be reset.

What about a small check box on the actual drawing, that when checked, freezes alert until unchecked.
