I would like to know if there is a way to save chart screen positions. I use ATI hydragrid that breaks up the main desktop fixed area where window can be fixed to specific locations across the destop. This would be great because right now I have to sift through a multitude of charts then attach each window to the grid. THis can be cumbersome and time consuming since I do not have the charting package open 24x7. It would be great if there was a way save these locations so that the windows automatically load to there respective positions. This may not be the place to ask but I thought I would give it a shot. Thanks in advance. |

When you save a Chartbook, the exact position of all of the chart windows is saved. There is nothing special to do.

Yes, I use a similar setup and the window configurations/locations are saved on exit. That part works. HOWEVER, I find that when I switch from one chartbook to another (this is inside the main SC window where two or three chartbooks may be open, each with multiple tabs), the windows in a given chartbook that were maximized a moment ago just show up as layered on top of one another. Maximizing one of the charts in a chartbook maximizes them all. But, when you switch away from that chartbook and come back then once again they're all layered randomly over one another. Is there a setting that controls this behavior? Sorry, if I'm using incorrect terminology but I hope you can tell me if this is normal or if there is a fix/documentation. {Read the documentation on Chartbooks and searched Help topics but I wasn't able to find this issue addressed there.] Thanks. |

Only one chart can be maximized at a time. The other MDI chart windows will be put into a non-maximized state. You can control the ordering of Windows through Window >> Windows and Chartbooks.
