NYSE - my mistake, I meant NYSE tick. Do you have a symbol for NYSE tick?
S&P = S&P 500.

Chart issue,

How do I get an Historical chart, displaying several months of the S&P500? I use TransAct AT and I can not get any charts to open other than what I saved in chartbook from the very 1st seup when I installed Transact demo. As of now, I click FILE, display historical chart (or intraday chart), and nothing happens.

After I opened the TransAct account, I opted for AT Charts. However, Durring the 1st use of the transact demo, I reconfigured the charts AT auto displayed, and saved to chart book on extit. None of the other chart examples in that data folder open either.
thanks

The $TICK market statistics symbol is available. Please see this help topic:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails66.html

For the S&P 500 cash market, you will require a direct account. Please see:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_DirectAccount.html

The Historical Daily chart symbol for this will be $INX

Yep, read all of this before, https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GettingStarted.php.

Tried it 1st before requesting help. Selected File >> New/Open Historical Chart, get a dialog box. poputate with symbol selected from list. press enter. box disapears and nothing. Log does nothing, shows no activity. what else do you suggest?
thanks

What symbol are you selecting? And do you press Open after selecting the symbol?

Selecting ESU13.dly.
Dialog box populates in file name (previously said "EnterSymbolHere") with symbol. File type says Hitorical Data Files (*.dly,*.csv,*.csf,*.prn,*.txt)

Press open and nothing happens.
Trade Service Log has the following:

You are connecting to a Live Server. All orders are LIVE ORDERS. 2013-06-21 22:39:18
Connected to Transact Price Server 2013-06-21 22:39:25
Connected to Transact Order Server 2013-06-25 22:39:25

I have tried almost every symbol in the available list. All yield same results. No charts open.

Also when I change File Type to Saved Chart book files (*.cht) none of the other pre installed chart examples open. Only the chartbook I saved opens

We have not heard about something like this probably in 10 years. This is an operating system problem. Usually the solution is to restart the computer.

Aside from this, open a chart with File >> Find Symbol. This is a better way to open a chart. It does not involve all of the complexity of the operating system Open File window. And you will see a listing of all of the available symbols.

What happens when you select File >> Find Symbol? Do you not see the Find Symbol window?

Yes the find symbol window appears and selects changes properly. However, when mouse click on either chart button, it just closes.
I fixed it by completely un-installing Transact and deleting sierra charts (copied my charts out of the data folder 1st), then performed a complete install of both platforms. Pasted my saved charts back to the data folder and so far everything works fine. Obviously something didn't load correctly on the initial install.

Thanks for your time and help
K
