Ia there a way to get 2 colors to display for the accumulated volume bars? I can get 2 color accumulated volume bars on my Renko charts by selecting the "Same As Base Graph" option in the Auto-Coloring drop down box but I haven't been able to find a way to do the same for my time based charts. Is it even possible? If not, is that something that could be added without too much trouble? Thanks |

What study are you referring to. It sounds as though you referring to a study we did not develop. We did not develop a study named Zig Zag Accumulated Volume bars. Therefore, we cannot help with this.

It's the Zig Zag study and its somewhat hidden. In the settings tab you answer yes on the "Calculate Zig Zag Volume" line and then hit OK. You have to close the study settings for the yes to take affect. Open the Zig Zag study settings again and go to the subgraphs tab and you'll now see a third line that wasn't there before, it's the accumulated volume line. And unlike most up/down type studies that have 2 color boxes next to them, the accumulated volume line here only has 1 color box. The user contributed Zig Zag Cumulative Volume study that I'm having trouble with has 2 color boxes, the Sierra Chart Zig Zag study only offers 1 color for its accumulated volume line in the subgraphs section. Without the up/down color variation, it can get tough at times to distinguish what's what.

We will set the AccumulatedVolume Subgraph in the Zigzag study to support 2 color buttons.

Thank you very much for adding the 2nd color box to the Zig Zag study's Accumulated Value line in v991. However, only the color box on the left is working, the color box on the right is not being recognized, it's not working.

40winks , in regards to post #5 and post #6. We know that you want these. We have been very busy, but we will see if one of the programmers can work them in. Checking if you are still interested in them? Also, the zigzag study code is provided with Sierra Chart . So it can be modified by anyone. There is not a dependency upon us for changes and improvements to it. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Hi SC Support, Wow, I'm very surprised and appreciate your response! It's certainly better than post #7. Thank you very much. Yes, I'm definitely interested in them and don't worry, please take your time. I understand that you guys are very busy so I don't mind waiting. MMX's request is more urgent thou, as he has pointed out a problem with the current setting. The main problem with User Contributed studies is that no one would support them if the contributor doesn't any more. Also, I believe that the enhancements will benefit many who use the Zig Zag Study, which is why I decided to make the requests. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-06-28 09:52:14

When available, ver 993, will have two new options: 1. "Display ZigZag Duration", when enabled, will show the duration of each ZigZag with a string like "D: HH::MM:SS". If the HH portion is zero, it will be truncated. 2. "Use Multi-line Labels" - when enabled, will draw each portion of the text label on a different line. The attached image shows both options. |
