If I was trading CME Futures on funded accounts or wanted to continue CME Futures trading on ThinkOrSwim but wanted to use Sierra Chart for live charting, footprint charts, DOM etc. but will not be putting in trades through Sierra Chart - I assume that I still have to connect my CQG or Teton Futures Routing (assuming I have AMP Futures account). Is that correct?
Yes, this is correct. You need to connect to that live account at least once a month for verification. We do not have connectivity to ThinkOrSwim, so you can not use that account for verification. Or is there something else where I just have to connect a live funded futures account like AMP by following some instructions?
You can connect to any live trading account for which Sierra Chart has support. In particular, we recommend the "Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement" as the brokers listed in there allow you to have a minimal amount of funds (typically $100) to have the account.
