Any assist would be very appreciated! I recently upgraded to this machine:
Apple M1 Max chip with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine 64GB unified memory 2TB SSD storage 16-inch Liquid Retina XDR display Three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI port, SDXC card slot, MagSafe 3 port I was expecting to bootcamp the hard drive with windows in order to run Sierra Chart natively, rather than through any kind of virtual desktop. My previous mac had bootcamp and I ran SC with no prob, but this new M1 chip does not support it. I was like WTF. I am now at a crossroads about what to do. There were some posts last year about methods to run SC on a virtual desktop (Codeweavers Crossover) but I am wondering if SC supports Windows 11 on ARM through parallels and is the user experience optimal? In my case, Sierra Chart via Parallels Desktop 17 on M1 Max works satisfactorily for basic analysis. But for more complex tasks, you can notice some performance degradation. For these tasks, I even learned how to fix second monitor on mac, learned a lot https://setapp.com/how-to/fix-second-monitor-on-mac and understood how to configure. I can only say one thing. If the SC team decides to support Mac, it will significantly improve the user experience. Anyone have any experience with this? PS. Love SC and do not want to switch platforms! SC crew, any chance a mac version of SC is ever coming? Windows 11 on ARM uses an emulator to run x86 apps, which in itself can reduce performance Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-08-27 20:01:24
