Most likely you are trying to put a Limit order a price that is not favorable, in which case the exchange is filling that Limit at the Market Price, which is a better price. For example, if you enter a Buy Limit order above the current Market Price, then this will automatically fill at the Market Price, since the current price is better than what you are setting. If the above is the case, then you need to enter the order as a "Stop-Limit".
