To begin I think it’s important to understand he never mentioned that he sold something similar to what I’m seeking. He just talked about his experience. “Offered to help”, he took the time out of his day to write a paragraph to make me look like an entitled person. A user suggesting to add an indicator that is gaining more users daily not to mention I offered to pay for the implementation. I would say that’s a rough use of the word “help”. He could’ve just responded and said I have something similar to what you are looking for, check us out! Doesn’t feel very welcoming when you come across that demeaning.
