We really do not know why this was the case yet: versions 2253-2258 were a disaster.
It is unknown. The change we made in 2261 must be unrelated. For most users, there is not going to be any observable difference. We still have to do testing. One thing we know, is sometimes there can be small insignificant changes, that with some user configurations becomes greatly magnified and create a significantly higher processing load. Usually a higher processing load is due to the chart drawing more frequently than it should be, and increases the graphics processing and is likely the cause of the problem.
