Hi As per the title ... the value I see in the trade window and on the position line on the chart is different to what is being displayed on the Trading Position Average Price Study. This is problematic because I do not want my automated system to add to a position if the current price is below the average price of my position ... I only want to add if the position is in profit. I am using the Trading Position Average Price Study subgraph as my reference in my Trading System based on Alert Condition formula. I need either ... 1. Another way to reference the average price of my open position. OR 2. To understand why there is a discrepancy between the chart value being returned and the study value. Any help much appreciated. Thank you Rich |

What is your setting for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trade >> Open Position Average Price" set to?

Hi John I tried it will all the different settings and it didn't seem to affect the calculation. I have however just figured out what the issue was. I had the scale setting on the Trading Position Average Price study set to integer. When I changed it to two decimal places, the reading on the study matched that on the chart. I had incorrectly assumed that even if the scale wasn't displaying the decimals, the actual output of the study would still match the average calculation. Thank you for your response as always.
