I would like to overlay the H/L of the evening session into my intraday chart, but with the evening session hidden. How do I do this please? Currently I'm using the H/L for time period study, and have it setup correctly, but the lines dissapear once the evening session is hidden. From reading the documentation I may need to use a study overlay and a seperate chart? Can I confirm this is the case, or perhaps there's a simpler option? Thanks, Matt |

The easiest way to do this is to start with a chart that has the evening session on it (it doesn't matter if it is only the evening session, or both Evening and Day sessions). Then add the "High/Low for Time Period - Extended" to this chart and set the Start and End times appropriately and set the "Line Stop Time" to be 1 second before the entered "Start Time" on that study. Then on your chart without the Evening Session add the "Study/Price Overlay" and overlay the "High/Low for Time Period - Extended" onto that chart. **Edit** I've solved this by updating the 'number of days to calculate' to 999. Thanks John. I've tried to set this up as you described, but I cannot see the overlayed data. One potential complication is that I'm using the Chart Replay function, so the new (evening session) chartbook isn't synced. Could this be an issue, or will it map the data accordingly? I've attached a screenshot of my settings. Please let me know if I've missed something. I presume also that I want to set the chart region to 1 in order to overlay the data? For now I've left it as default. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-08-13 14:54:24
