Ok so imagine if I clicked a stock on the quote board. How do I make it so it is TSLA for the symbol and then current symbol to whatever the IBKR is (the one I set) automatically because when I just put the IBKR. It just has it as that for both. For example, 1) On the quote board I put this: AAPL-STK-SMART-USD (that way when I click it. It is automatically linked to the DOM etc 2) I click and every chart and DOM changes to AAPL-STK-SMART-USD but I want the current symbol to be AAPL-STK-SMART-USD and the main symbol to be APPL[M] because I pay for data via sierra. When I try to do APPL[M]/AAPL-STK-SMART-USD on the quote board. It just says cannot find the symbol. |

Just to make sure you are aware, you need to use the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" for a chart, where you would put "AAPL" for the main symbol and then enter "AAPL-STK-SMART-USD" for the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) As you have found, there is no way to have a Quote Board use a "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". But the underlying issue for what you are trying to do is that need the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" to update whenever you change the symbol, even if that is through the Quote Board. In order to have it setup so that you can change the symbol for the chart and have the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" change as well, you need to edit the Symbol Settings and set the symbol settings for '?', '??', '???', '????', etc. such that the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" for these symbols (which represent the U.S. Equities symbols) is set to the following, based on the number of question marks: ?-STK-SMART-USD For example, after you update the symbol settings, if you change the chart to AAPL through the quote board, then the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" will change to "AAPL-STK-SMART-USD". Refer to the following for how to edit the symbol settings: Global Symbol Settings: Instructions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Because this is what I did. I set the quote board to let's say "AAPL" and I set the chart setting manually to "AAPL-STK-SMART-USD". So good news is: Whenever I click on a symbol. Let's say AAPL or TSLA, the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" stays as "AAPL-STK-SMART-USD" but the chart changes to TSLA or AAPL depending on what I select. I want it to also change "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" to "TSLA-STK-SMART-USD", and if I select AAPL then "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" to "AAPL-STK-SMART-USD". I attached a GIF below to show you an example: https://gyazo.com/b80bb828ab153f72b87972855e6d8f8b |
