Dear Support,

When running the latest version of Sierra (2661) on Linux, I am experiencing the following problems:

After selecting an item from any of the drop-down lists in the settings windows, the drop-down list does not disappear.
I have to close Sierra to get rid of the remaining drop-down lists.

I cannot describe it better, so please have a look at the attached video.
The problem persists even after restarting SC/OS.

Also coincidentally, when I start Sierra, the entire main window is positioned outside the visible area of my monitor and only the corner of the main SC window is visible, plus all the detached windows are positioned outside the visible area of my screens. When I try to move the main SC window back onto the monitor by grabbing the corner of the main window, the entire window manager crashes and I have to restart the computer.
See attached screenshot for an example.

I have tried several computers and versions of Wine and these problems exist everywhere, but when I downgrade to SC v2657 the problems disappear.

Do you have any advice on how to fix this, or can I just stay on 2657 for now?

Thanks in advance.

We have no idea about these problems. Use an earlier version.

This must be some kind of a wine issue. Nothing has changed in this regard:

We do not understand the other issue either. We will see what has changed that might be causing it but really it makes absolutely no sense to us.

Regarding the main window positioning issue, refer to this setting to see if it helps:
General Settings Window: Use Alternate Window Placement Method (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Application GUI)

There is nothing more we can do and this is not anything we would be spending any time on. It is not a Sierra Chart issue at all.

This other issue is not a Sierra Chart issue at all but it is very unusual and we will see what is triggering it. If we can figure it out. But we have no idea at this point.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, it is probably Wine related (it certainly does not happen on Windows), but fortunately not in earlier SC versions, so staying with 2657 is a working solution for now.

I will check regularly with newer versions of both Wine and SC and let you know if there are any changes.

Please also post if you find anything.

Thanks for the hint on the GUI settings - I was looking for exactly that (remembered it existed) but could not find it easily in the documentation.

Thanks again.
