I have a chart that consistently zooms out after I manually save and a few others that do not. I cannot figure out what setting is causing this, but checking to see if anyone else is having the same issue and an idea to fix. Thanks.

I am using Scale Range: User Defined. I will have my chart adjusted to my scaling preference, which is typically one day with range bars. When I save my chartbook after making an adjustment, the time scale adjust to 4 days....zooming out.

Do you have any custom studies on the chart that could be adjusting the bar spacing? Otherwise, there is no reason for this to occur. The chart should always open as you had it when you saved. I ended up duplicating another chart that was not experiencing that issue and applying the studies there, but I had removed all the studies, and it was still doing the same thing. I got exhausted from it all, but will note here in this thread if the issue comes back. Thanks John.

I think I figured this out. If I use the Chart Zoom In tool from the control bar and zoom into my bars, the chart will return to the previous state when I save. If I use the X and Y scales (Price and Time) to zoom into the chart, the chart will stay at this scale when I save. So long story short, the Chart Zoom In does not save, but using the right and bottom scale will keep the chart in the last state. |
