I am trying to create a buy order on my chart trading DOM. I want to place this buy order above the current market price.

I also want it to have a trailing stop, and sell target. I believe the order type I am supposed to use is the "OCO Buy Stop Sell Stop" order. When trying to use this in SIM mode on chart replay it always puts the order at Market when I try to place it above Market. What am I doing wrong here?

Go to Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Order Types tab, and set them like in the attached pic.

These settings will allow you to place a pending Limit or Stop entry order above or below current price.

I set the Chart DOM Settings to the above post and it now works, sort of!

It also makes up its own orders or something! Sometimes before it reaches the Stop I set and sometimes after the main one has run its course! I am not sure what is going on.

In the attached image I placed an OCO Buy Stop Sell Stop order by clicking on the Chart DOM at 3962. It automatically puts in a trailing stop for me at 3959.5. It also sets a Target at 3972.

In the meantime, while running this in replay in SIM mode it placed something at 3960!? It is in red. Why did this happen?

After my order ran its course and everything cancelled out it got down to the 3960.75 level and now there is a green line across which says -1@3960.75 P/L 0.75P. Why would this happen?

Now another one poped up at 3964.5. And so on....

Apparently, I have something set wrong. Any ideas? Thanks.

Scott, you might want to separate the Left Clicks for Limit orders only (Buy Limit/Sell Limit), and the Right Clicks for Sell Stop orders only (Buy Stop/Sell Stop) as shown in the attached pic.

These settings will help you to prevent entry errors when adding a pending Limit or Stop entry order above or below current price on the DOM.

I understand what you're saying User90125 but I am in SIM mode in Replay and can Flatten and Cancel all orders, and place my order where I want without making any errors. I then hit play again, yet it seems to be giving me errors. A setup error I am presuming.

Am I even correct in using an OCO Buy Stop Sell Stop type order, or should I be using something else?

You want to use a Buy Stop Order with OCO Attachments for Target(s) and Stop(s).

I used the Buy STOP Order, but it is still glitching out. I moved over to another TPO chart that someone else gave me and it works. I am going to redo this TPO from scratch. It is one someone made for me and I modified it a bit myself. This TPO chart also won't start at the proper time when using replay even though my other ones do! Tech Support said they did not have time to look at it though.

Being that I am placing my orders by clicking on the Trading DOM, does it matter if the Limit box is set to 0.00, being that I am not using it to place my orders?
