When Sierra chart is connected to a Trading service where there are a very large number of accounts, potentially 1000 accounts, there can be performance issues when Sierra Chart is started handling all of the data related to those accounts.

This is the case for a risk manager with the Teton order routing service.

Here are instructions on how to improve performance when Sierra Chart is started, and also while it is running.

1. Update to version 2465 or higher. At this time this is the prerelease. Update instructions:
Software Download: Fast Update

2. In Global Settings >> General Trade Settings, set the "Automatically Delete Trade Activity Log Files on Startup Older than Days" setting to 30 or lower.

In cases where there is a need to access historical trade activity data older than this setting, we will follow-up with additional instructions for that.

3. Restart Sierra Chart.

4. Enable Risk Manager Mode:
Trade Account and Risk Management: Setting Sierra Chart to Risk Manager Mode

5. You should have much improved performance after making these adjustments.

6. When using Risk Manager Mode in this version and higher, the Trade Activity Log is disabled on start up to ensure it does not cause a performance issue. It can be re-enabled by removing the checkmark from " Trade >> Trade Activity Log >> Edit >> Disable Trade Activity Log".
