How do i connect my tradovate account with sierra chart?

I wonder how to connect tradovate account with sierrachart ? I have also bought "market data" to be able to see the depth or the data in the DOM, for example. I am now wondering how to link my tradovate account with sierrachart? Because at this moment i have a funded tradovate account with "market data" from tradovate. And I wonder if market data/data feed is the same thing? in that case, I have already bought "market data" to see the depth and all the information for the MES futures contract. Does this then mean that I don't need to buy market data/data feed from sierra chart because I already bought "market data" from tradovate? I plan to use DOM, footprint, volumeprofile/marketprofile and vwap in sierra chart and wonder if my market data from tradovate will work? please help |

Hi i heard from my broker wich is tradovate that they sont support sierra chart anymore is that true? here is the message: "Hello, Unfortunately, we have made a business decision not to set up connectivity for customer accounts with Sierra. All previous users with this set up are grandfathered but we are not setting these up anymore. There are other 3rd party platforms we can still connect through CQG like InvestorRT, Motivewave, etc. but we are no longer supporting this for Sierra users." is this true? Excellent! We are very very happy with this decision. Makes it much much easier for us. And why is it "unfortunate". Should they not say fortunate? If they made this decision, then obviously they agree with it and therefore it must be good for them. Sierra Chart works with AMP futures by using CQG for the order routing. AMP does not have support for the Teton Order Routing Service. You have to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed when using CQG for order routing, as we do not support data from CQG for the CME Group and EUREX. is it good to use AMP futures? tradovate is also using CQG. Whats the difference between tradovate and AMP. wich data feed do users use if they have teton order routing service? |

AMP is fine. Tradovate, as discussed above, has specifically stopped setting up CQG for Sierra Chart accounts. Therefore, it is there choice to no longer support Sierra Chart. This is completely separate from CQG. As to the differences between Tradovate and AMP, you would need to look into the differences in their costs and then talk to others about their experiences with each. With either CQG or Teton you HAVE to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed. is there some disadvantage to use CQG for order routing and Denali Exchange data feed? i have heard bad things about CQG but i dont know exactly what the issue is. I would appreciate if somebody could give me an explanation. |
