You will just want to use a weighted moving average on fixed time chart bars: Moving Average - Weighted and you will want to set the Input Data Input to OHLC Average. We do not know what you should use. This is up to you. If the chart bars are set to five minutes each and you would want a 60 minute time weighted average, then you would just use 12.

Would it be okay if you just load one day of data into the chart?

We have prepared a Chartbook to do this. For what symbol do you want this on? And what time zone should the chart be in? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. First step is to update Sierra Chart to the latest "prerelease": Software Download: Fast Update And then use the attached Chartbook. Here are instructions: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Using a Chartbook Provided by Sierra Chart Support These charts are set to load only a single day of data. To make sure that remains the case select Chart >> Reload and Recalculate after the data is downloaded. The weighted moving average also adjusts its length dynamically at each chart bar to ensure it matches the available data at that bar. We have updated that chartbook and attached the updated version to this post. Note that the symbols are set for the "SC Data - All Services" service. If you are using a different service, then you will need to select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" after opening the chartbook. Attached is a custom spreadsheet study that plots this TWAP across multiple days. It resets every day at the Start time in cell L3. You must use the Study Collection to load it. This custom spreadsheet study is not a custom ASCIL .dll study. It is a native study that uses formulas on a spreadsheet to output a TWAP. You can examine the formulas and code what they do to create something in Tradovate. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2024-08-25 18:04:23
