This is the relevant error: GSP - Alert Message: Market Data Connection Login Failed. permission denied Are you connecting to a Zen-Fire demo Account? From documentation: Login Failed/Permission Denied : This usually means either your Username and Password that you have specified in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings are incorrect, or the demo account that you have is not allowed to connect from your system. If your demo account is restricted from your system, ask your broker to remove any restriction if they can.

Well, I used the free version of Ninjatrader and it connects just fine. I have a new account number and I think that is the cause. I just did this and now have the concern. Wondering if Sierra charts has the old account stuck in it and not able to work. Ideas? Thanks, Jerrry |

We can assure you 110%, that the problem is not within Sierra Chart. Sierra Chart does not have some old account information. Sierra Chart connects to Zen-Fire using the Username and Password you have specified in the Data/Trade Service Settings window. Sierra Chart connects to the Zen-Fire system using Rithmic software. This is blackbox software which we do not control. Ninja does not use the same software. It is this software which IDs your system and it is the trading platform backend which is blocking the connection based upon the ID. Your broker should be familiar with these details. I contacted the broker, they said there is no such thing and look at it themselves while I was on the phone. I know that when I first used Sierra charts it showed my account and I think that it is the problem. I don't understand what is going on. I think that I need to uninstall then reinstall Sierra charts for the fix. Let me know, Jerry |

Jerry, Please give us the name and telephone number of your broker. They obviously are not aware of what is going on. This may not be relevant but what exactly do you mean by "I know that when I first used Sierra charts it showed my account and I think that it is the problem." Showed what account in what way? The only Zen Fire account related information is entered and displayed in File >> Data/Trade Service Settings. This is only the username and password. Please do not uninstall and reinstall Sierra Chart. That is not going to help in the least. We know what we're talking about here. We understand now what you are referring to by the Zen-Fire account. Newer versions of Sierra Chart handle accounts differently since they can handle multiple trading accounts. The account numbers are automatically discovered upon login. It is not anything you need to manually enter any longer and the Account setting you are referring to does not exist any longer and is not relevant. You will be hearing from Mirus about this now. They are setting you up with a new Username and Password . You will need to enter these into File >> Data/Trade Service Settings.
