Apparently TT didn't communicate with Sierra Chart when filling a close order (I'm guessing). I was short HEZ3-HEG4; a "long" order was filled closing the position but didn't reflect in SC and I missed it on my statement. Thinking the "short" order was still active I sent a "long" order to close the position a couple of days later and the order reflected in the Orders and Position window as "close". I saw on my statement that night that I had just "opened" a position (I was now "long")even though the Orders and Position window reflected "close". I immediately sent a "short" order to close the position. The position closed but reflected "open" in the Orders and Positions window. Confused and with my broker closed I sent a "long" order to flatten the position whereupon I found I was once again "long" but the Orders and Position window reflects "close". I am now "long" HEZ13-HEG14 but the position is not reflected in the Orders and Positions window at all because it was recognized as "close" by SC. I need out of this trade but am hesitant to send any more orders through. How do I correct this issue? I'm seriously confused right now... |

The first thing to do is to sort out your Current Position and Orders with the broker. In regards to not seeing a particular position on Trade >> Trade Orders and Positions >> Positions, we cannot help with that. In general, this is really outside the scope of our support. Sorry, probably confused you as much as myself. The issue is not that an order is not showing but rather is showing incorrectly (e.g. opposite). This appears to have begun when an order was filled by TT that was not recognized and updated by SC in the Orders and Positions window. ( I just made it worse by not catching it myself.) I have closed all positions. Sierra Chart now reflects an "open" position in the Orders and Positions window (this is what started the confusion). I have no open positions but Sierra Chart says I do and is tracking P/L, etc. accordingly. This is incorrect information that is being shown on my charts, Trading DOM, etc. Sierra Chart is tracking a "ghost"; how do I remove it? |

After thinking about this some more, one thing we did not explain in regards to exchange traded spreads with TT is what you will see for the Position data on the Positions tab and also how the Position for the spread Symbol itself is determined. This is explained in this section here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/TradingTechnologies.php#TradingSpreads On what tab of the Trade Orders and Positions window are you referring to? If you are referring to Trade Stats for Charts, then you need to clear the trade activity data for that symbol. Refer to: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeActivityLog.php#ClearingtheLog If you are referring to the Positions tab, contact your broker.
