Hi, I'm trying to migrate a strategy to Sierra, using the spreadsheet study for trading.
My strategy takes one entry per day, when certain conditions become true.
I can't seem to find a way to do this, having searched the forums, and read the following help
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_WS_AddInfo.html#StateLocking

The above seems close, but I can't manually reset each day.
Could you point me in the right direction please?

Our recommendation is to use the Daily Total Trades spreadsheet field. It is documented here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_SystemsAlerts.php#CellJ52

You can just check to see if this is greater than 1 and disable auto trading if it is.

The documentation has just been updated to give the formula you need to use.

Thinking about this some more, how order fills are processed and how the Spreadsheet System for Trading study works, this really is the recommended method to do it. It is very reliable and straightforward. If there any issues, please let us know.

Thanks both, back on track now.
And thanks for updating the documentation Sierra Chart Eng, presumably it should be =J52 >= 1 rather than =J52 > 1 to only take one trade a day, in case you thought it mattered for others
