Customer is opted into Level 3 via AT Charts - no matter what we do we cannot get the charts to launch with InfinityAT. We have all remoted in and at this point are stumped. The user is using a Windows 8 machine and we just reinstalled with no improvement. Any ideas as to what might cause this?

Does the user run any security Software, if so then make sure that it is not blocking the AT Charts from being started up.

Are there any error messages when Sierra Chart is started? Go to \SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA and run SierraChart.exe manually. Let us know if you see an error message. I tried to run as admin directly from this directory: \SierraChart\SierraChartTransActMA but nothing happens, although a security warning pops up and asks me if I want to run, I say yes, and nothing happens. I ran the MSFT download above, no change. I disabled Trend Micro (security) and Windows Defender and no change.

You will need to make sure to fully disable Trend Micro, and not just the firewall component of it. Alternatively, make sure Sierra Chart, and the TransAct software are added to the exception list for Trend Micro and try again: http://esupport.trendmicro.com/solution/en-us/1059964.aspx Sierra Chart Support |

We did both of these - I disabled the whole thing, and added both as exceptions. This was done prior to my last post, sorry for any confusion.

This should already be the case on Windows 8, but make sure Microsoft .NET framework version 4 is installed: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/download.php#SystemRequirements Try installing the standard Sierra Chart installation and run Sierra Chart from \SierraChart and see if it starts. You can download it from this page: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/download.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. After the above, Sierra Chart does not even launch. Would you be open to a quick remote session with the user?
