Hello, We have a Sierra Chart user reporting issues with attempting to pull up data from the Gold markets using a CTS connection. I contacted CTS earlier this morning and was told to get in contact with you guys. I have attempted to replicate the problem on my end, using the same symbol codes, but have been unable to do so. He appears to be connecting just fine, but continues to see "Invalid Symbol" errors for the GC market. Here is a copy of his connection log. Please let us know if you have any questions. We appreciate your help. -Tim Software version: 982 | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Current Service Package: 1 | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Usage end date: 2013-06-26 | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Active service: CTS T4 | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Time Zone: +03:00:00 (EET+02EEST+01,M3.5.0/03:00,M10.5.0/04:00) | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Local computer clock time | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 2013-06-24 10:41:09 GMT time | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Time zone adjusted time | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Time difference to server time: 1 seconds. | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Program path: C:\SierraChart\1\ | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 Data Files path: C:\SierraChart\1\Data\ | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 OS Version Number: 6.1 | 2013-06-24 13:41:09 ! We have started to see reports of this and nothing has changed on our side. Every indication is this is some issue on the T4 side. We are testing this now. We have done a test and we do not see the issue. Troubleshooting this is going to be very difficult due to the complex nature by which T4 symbols are subscribed to. We are working on a new interface to T4 that uses FIX. We are getting close to completing this. It is not productive for us to be spending time with the old API and the old interface. One reason we are changing to FIX is because of problems like this that we do not have control over. If they have a paid Sierra Chart account, we are happy to give them a refund . If they do not have a paid account we can give them a time extension or give them a trial later on. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. To give you an idea of the timeline, we are doing our best to get the FIX connection ready within the next 10 days or so.
