Sierra Chart - Max - Posts: 5730 |
Hello, I'm looking for a charting service and very interested in Sierra Charts along with my Interactive Brokers account/data. Just had a few questions: 1. Am I able to run multiple instances of Sierra Chart? 2. Can I use Sierra Chart on multiple computers? 3. I ask question #2 because I want to know if I can use Sierra Chart at home and at the office. If I can, do the settings and layout and chart drawings I make share between the two? Or is it saved locally on the computer only? 4. How exactly doe the historical replay feature work? Since I work in the mornings, ultimately I want to be able to "replay" a previous day in the evening seeing the real tick by tick data, chart, Level 2 and time and sales and make simulated trades. Is this possible with Sierra Chart and Interactive Brokers? 1, 2. Yes, and Yes. Please refer to the Licensing section here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/PurchaseInformation.php#Licensing 3. Settings and all Sierra Chart data like Chartbooks are saved locally. 4. Yes, you will be able to do this, please refer to the pages documentation here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ReplayChart.html https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeSimulation.php It is not possible to replay market depth data though.
