Hihi, I have built a trading strategy in the spreadsheet study that I would like to protect and hide! How can I do so? I mean how can I hide say all columns there or hide them somehow so that they would be accessible?? Thanks |

You can shrink the width of formula columns until they disappear, then go to Spreadsheet >> Workbook Explorer >> click on the Sheet# and check Protect Sheet Contents. You will get a password panel. You can test this by leaving the password fields blank. With the sheet protected, hidden columns cannot be restored.

We do not recommend this because the new spreadsheet functionality we are developing does not have sheet protection. We may implement some simple capability to lock a sheet. But that's not going to prevent you from changing the width the columns. Only prevent data entry into cells. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Just to return to this topic please. Any chance to hide the formulas in the sheet at least?? When you go to Cell Properties >>> Protection....there is an option: Hide Formulas. How does this work?

Soon we are going to be discontinuing support for the current spreadsheet functionality and we are not providing support for more advanced usage questions like these for nonstandard functionality and also functionality which will be discontinued. We are developing new spreadsheets and we will look at how to add Hide Formula capability. We have put down this as an item to do.
