This thread is a continuation of the off-topic here:
New Spreadsheets font is erroneously bolded in v1252

I just had SC crash a 3rd time when entering formulas.

Here is a recap of the 3 incidents:
1)
-I entered a not-very-complex formula and received a #SYNTAX! error.
-I visually and carefully verified the syntax and it was correct.
-I pressed Enter again (or OK, I don't remember) and SC crashed.
2)
- I copied a formula from another cell with Ctrl-c and pasted it is a different cell with Ctrl-v
- I pressed Enter again (or OK, I don't remember) and SC crashed.
3)
- I copied a formula from a cell with Ctrl-c and pasted it is a different cell with Ctrl-v
- I pressed Enter and only the cell in row3 updated (no cells below updated)
- I edited the formula to change one column reference, pressed Enter and SC crashed.
The attached pic is related to this. I changed column BS to AK in the formula.

OK, I can reproduce a sequence of actions that crashes SC.

-Copy/paste a formula from AK3 to AJ3. All cells in column AJ update.
-Copy/paste a formula from AN3 to AK3. All cells in column AK update.
-Edit formula in AK3. Only cell AK3 updates, cells below have orange triangle but no values.
-Focus the chart and Recalculate.
-SC crashes.

I am working on this now, but have so far been unable to reproduce the issue. I'm guessing the issue has to do with a specific type of interaction among a set of formulas and how they reference each other. Could you post a spreadsheet file with which you have managed to reproduce the crash?

In v1254 (New Spreadsheets), I can also cause SC to crash if I go to Analysis >> Studies >> Add Custom Study.

It doesn't happen in v1254 (Old Spreadsheets), however, it is slow presenting the list.

This is unrelated. Delete the UserContributedStudies.dll file in the Sierra Chart Data Files Folder.

I've deleted the UserContributedStudies.dll file in my nonCLR installation and SC still crashes when I go to Add Custom Study.

Therefore, refer to help topic 17.3:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails17.html#h17.3

There is another DLL file causing the problem. Once again this is not related to spreadsheets
